Energy-free systems were designed on the principle of dynamic mattresses so as to use the principle of air chambers to transfer the load between the individual segments of the mattress so as to reduce the pressure on the patient's tissue. The biggest advantage of energy-free systems is the absence of a control unit. Mattresses do not need to be adjusted and work independently of electrical energy.
